CLINICAL TRAINING

2007 - present   Fellow in Allergy and Immunology at Washington University

2004 - 2006       Resident in Internal Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis

2003 - 2004       Intern in Internal Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis

EDUCATION

1999 - 2003     M.D., elected member into AOA, Saint Louis University School of

                           Medicine

1995 - 1999     Bachelor of Arts, Saint Louis University , Magna Cum Laude

Graduated with Honors; major in Biology and minor in Philosophy

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

1996 - 2003      Conducted original basic research in Biochemistry and Molecular

                             Biology under Yie-Hwa Chang, Ph.D.

                                 •  Performed research investigating the molecular mechanism of

angiogenesis and the role of neovascularization in the

                                     pathogenesis  of cancer.

                                 •  Investigated down-stream substrates of the enzyme

Methionine aminopeptidase, the target of the Anti-

                                      angiogenesis compound TNP- 470.

                                 •  Co-invented a dominant negative mutant of type II Methionine

aminopeptidase (patent pending). This genetic construct has

significant potential to serve as a future anti-cancer reagent

as well as assisting in the screening of novel anti-cancer

                                      drugs.
